Grand Bahama’s Next Wave

Just 55 miles east of Florida, Grand Bahama is writing its comeback story. Daily American Airlines nonstop service from Miami has returned, alongside connections from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Work is also underway on a new international airport to replace the facility devastated by Hurricane Dorian in 2019. A Six Senses resort is in the pipeline, while Carnival’s Celebration Key has already opened on the island’s south shore. For Miami-based advisors, Grand Bahama offers an easy sell: close enough for a quick escape, but with enough coming online to justify a much longer stay.
