Easter week 2026 brought 47,684 international visitors, up 26% on last year, and the country counted more than 300 cruise calls and 1.4 million cruise passengers in 2025, most of them stepping off at Roatán. The island’s Juan Manuel Gálvez airport handled half a million passengers last year, and Frontier, Copa, Air Europa and Iberojet have all added frequencies or routes in 2026. That growing accessibility opens the door to an increasingly varied offering for Honduras, from the Bay Islands’ reef and beaches to the Maya heritage of Copán and experiences that still offer strong value.
