Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines Group strengthen trans-American connectivity
Delta Air Lines and LATAM unite as WTE Miami 2025’s official airlines, delivering seamless North–South America connectivity and convenience.
The official airlines of WTE Miami 2025, Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines Group, are working together to strengthen air travel links across the Americas. Their joint venture, launched in 2020, brings two extensive networks under one strategy, offering travelers more routes, improved schedules, enhanced operational coordination, and new opportunities for both business and leisure travelers. In a market where passengers expect efficiency, choice, and consistent service, this alliance delivers a more integrated travel experience between major cities and regional hubs in both continents.
Together, Delta and LATAM offer access to more than 300 destinations across the United States, Canada, and South America, including key markets in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and more recently, Argentina.
Network coverage is a central focus. The combined schedules connect major cities and regional hubs, offering passengers more choice through optimized flight times, increased frequencies, and expanded city-pair options. The joint network enhances travel between major economic and cultural centers while improving links to secondary markets.
The airlines have also invested in the passenger experience. Co-located operations at major hubs such as New York (JFK), Miami, São Paulo (GRU), Santiago (SCL), Lima, and Bogotá streamline transfers and reduce connection times. Miami has emerged as a strategic gateway, with Delta increasing its presence by 40% and upgrading facilities to include bilingual signage and improved passenger flow.
For corporate and agency clients, the partnership has simplified contracting and support, aligning sales teams and customer service functions across both carriers. This unified approach aims to make it easier for businesses to plan and manage travel across the Americas.
In April 2025, Delta and LATAM expanded the scope of their joint venture to include Argentina, reinforcing their commitment to the region. By integrating their networks, operations, and cargo capabilities, both airlines are positioning themselves as leading carriers for trans-American connectivity, offering travelers a more efficient, reliable, and seamless experience.
Loyalty without borders
Through their joint venture, Delta Air Lines and LATAM Airlines Group have created a seamless frequent flyer experience across the Americas. Members of Delta SkyMiles and LATAM Pass can earn and redeem miles on either airline, opening up access to more than 300 destinations. Elite travelers benefit from priority check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, plus lounge access at 53 Delta Sky Clubs in the U.S. and five LATAM Lounges in South America. With reciprocal recognition of status, the partnership ensures that loyalty benefits travel with the passenger—delivering convenience, comfort, and consistency on both sides of the equator.
